Video centre settings

The poster details page displays rich information about the film's cast and crew, synopsis, ratings, etc., and the Blu-ray, 4K, and HDR attributes of the video file. On the poster details page interface, you can revise the matching poster, correct the number of TV episodes, create a collection, etc.

View/edit the poster details page for a film

In the Video Centre, click on the movie poster card to enter the poster details page, where you can view the following information:

1. Movie poster: The poster will use the locally associated poster first. If there is no local association, the poster obtained by scraping will be used. If it is not obtained, the frame drawing of the video will be used.

2. Movie name: The associated NFO file name is read first. If there is no match, the one obtained by scraping is used. If neither is available, the content associated filename is used.

3. Video metadata: rating, year, country/region, genre, rating, duration.

4. File: Displays the video file associated with the movie. When two different video files in the media library are recognised as the same movie, the two video files will be combined in the same movie details. This area allows you to switch between playing different versions of the movie file.

5. Movie synopsis: displays the synopsis of the movie obtained by scraping.

6. Cast and Crew Information: Displays a poster image of the cast and crew, their real names and the roles they play in the film.

7. Media information: Information about the video file associated with the film. Here you can view the video format, video path, video size, and video encapsulation profile (information about the video, audio track, subtitles, etc.).

8. If the movie you opened is an episode, you can also view the season and episode associated with the episode.

You can also play, mark as viewed, or add to your collection on the details page, and select episodes to play or click the "..." button to perform more operations (add to collection, delete source file, rematch information, manually identify information, edit metadata).

View/edit cast poster details page

If you click on the cast poster, you can access the cast profile. You can view the character poster, character name, character birthday, character introduction, and movies and episodes related to the character.

Character poster: The poster is preferentially manually configured by the user, and if not configured, it is obtained by scraping, and if it cannot be obtained, it is empty.

Character name: Displays the name of the cast and crew member.

Character introduction: displays the introduction information for the cast and crew.

Movies and episodes related to the character: displays movies and episodes related to the character in the stored movies.

You can also manually edit the information. Click "Edit" to edit the character poster, name, birthday, alias, and biography.

Add and manage collections

To organise movies in a series, TV series with multiple seasons, etc., the media library supports the management and display of collections. The media centre not only supports the manual addition of collections, but also automatic recognition.

To add a collection manually, please follow these steps:

Select the poster card for an individual film and click the "..." button. In the pop-up selection box, select "Add to collection".

2.Click "Create new collection", name the collection, and press "Enter" to confirm.

3. After creating the collection, you can view it on the media library screen or click the "Filter" button in the upper right corner of the media library to filter and view it.

4. To delete a collection, rename a collection or play a collection, hover the mouse over the poster card and click the "..." button to perform the relevant operation.

Please note: Deleting a collection does not delete the user video files or the nfo and video thumbnail images that have been scraped.

Episode management

After adding a media library and scanning media files in UGOS Pro, you may encounter the following problem:

Some episodes (especially variety shows) are not recognised correctly or are recognised as the wrong content.

Some episodes are not fully recognised, resulting in missing episodes or incorrect sequence.

The "Episode management" function in the Media Centre allows you to manually correct episodes or variety shows in the media library and adjust their order. For example, you can merge episode extras into the target episode and set it to play as the last episode.

For more details, please refer to:"How do I use "Episode Management" to correct episodes or variety shows that have not been correctly recognised by the media library?"

Download/delete source files

To delete a source file, hover over the individual poster card and click the "..." button. Select "Delete source video" from the options that pop up.

To download a film, hover the mouse over an individual poster card, click the "..." button and select "Download" from the options that pop up. This will download the video to your local device, so you can watch it without an internet connection.

Please note:

1. If you have activated the Recycle Bin, you can find the deleted video file in the Recycle Bin in the shared folder directory. Please note the retention period for deletions in the Recycle Bin.

Edit metadata

If the information on the poster scraped from the media library is incomplete or incorrect, you can manually edit and modify the video information. The video information that can be modified includes: uploading a poster, adding or modifying the movie name, release date, country/region, genre, rating, cast and crew information, and movie synopsis.

How can I easily create a movie cover wall with local images?

In the Movie Centre, you can set exclusive cover and background images for movies and TV episodes with simple local image management, even if TMDb or intelligent recognition is not enabled. This feature lowers the threshold for creating your own poster wall and is suitable for short episodes or the management of movie and TV resources without .nfo files.
